I feel that there is no calling more important than that of a Young Women's leader. The youth of our Church aged 12-18 are at a vulnerable and impressionable time in their life. Their lifelong relationship with their Heavenly Father and His gospel can be formed or shattered at this time. Having this thought in the forefront of all we do for our young women will certainly guide, direct, and motivate all young women leaders. This thought can also overwhelm those same leaders. I feel that is one reason it is so important for us all to utilize the tools we have at our fingertips to share, share, share. Share your wonderful ideas with others so that they may benefit countless others. Consider the things that others have shared and pray about what might help the young women you personally have stewardship over. Share your personal struggles and successes. The beauty of sharing is manifest in the building up of both people involved in the sharing.
This sharing is not limited to young women topics. Our testimonies can be shared every day in so many ways. A Mormonchannel.org video titled Sharing Your Beliefs features President Uchtdorf saying, "With the blessings of modern technology, we can express gratitude and joy about God's great plan for His children in a way that can be heard not only around our workplace but around the world. We have a glad message to share, and we have a message of joy. Use your hands to blog and text message the gospel to all the world! All at the right time and at the right place. "Preach the gospel at all times and if necessary, use words." What a great example this is of a non-threatening way to share our beliefs with others. I think it would make a great challenge for the young women to try and use technology at least once per day to share.
I would also like to encourage us all to reach out to each other, using technology, to share our thoughts, love, and support of others in our lives. Share and share alike.
